Autumn 2008 Class Schedule

Beginning Yoga with Amy ~ 9:30 - 11:00am
On-going class, drop ins welcome
A great class that focuses on fundamentals of alignment, breath, and basic poses. Great for those new to the practice, and those wanting to review the fundamentals.
Yoga - All levels with Amy ~ 6:00 - 7:30pm
On-going class, drop ins welcome
This class continues to focus on fundamentals and depending on the participants, may cover yoga poses and their variations in more detail. Poses may be held longer than in the beginner classes in order to increase strength, balance and flexibility.
WEDNESDAYS
Beginning level Tai Chi with Gregory Horner ~ 5:30 - 6:30pm
This class has been opened to drop-ins and will continue through the end of the year. Tai Chi is a gentle, low impact exercise with focus on balance, breathing, and meditation.
THURSDAYS
Intermediate Yoga with Charlene ~ 9:30 - 11:00am

On-going class, drop-ins with yoga experience are welcome
A class for those with a solid understanding of basic yoga poses and principles. This class moves in to more intermediate poses, and includes more work with pranayama.

A great class that focuses on fundamentals of alignment, breath, and basic poses. Great for those new to the practice, and those wanting to review the fundamentals.
FRIDAYS
Gentle Yoga with Amy or Katy ~ 3:00 - 4:00pm
On-going class, Drop-ins welcome
A beginning level class that focuses on gentle stretching and strengthening with the use of props (blankets, blocks, straps, chairs) to adjust the poses for your body. Great for "cranky" bodies! The class will include basic standing poses for strength and alignment, and finish with restorative poses that allow the body to open naturally without strain, gradually increasing movement, flexibility, and deep relaxation.
SATURDAYS
Yoga - All Levels ~ 9:00-10:30am
On-going drop-in class, All Levels Welcome
This class may is geared toward all levels and each class is modified to meet the needs of the participants. Classes continue to focus on the fundamentals of alignment, breath, and core strength, and may include a variety of different poses presented for different levels within the class.

Tai Chi Chuan
This introductory class for the combined form of Tai Chi Chuan has been opened up for drop-ins and will continue through the end of the year. Tai Chi is a gentle, low impact exercise with focus on balance, breathing, and meditation.

Note: the following ball classes have been temporarily postponed - new classes will start up again after the first of the year. If you would like to be notified specifically for ball classes, contact us, and let us know.
Introduction to the Stability Ball**
A 2 hour introductory workshop designed to introduce you to some basic exercises on the stability ball. You will go away with an understanding of how to get on and off the ball, how to use the ball for different exercises, and a sample of exercises that you can easily do at home in your own time.
Bands, Balls, and Bodies**
A weekly class to tone, strengthen, and increase flexibility - This class uses stability balls, elastic bands, and exercises using your own body weight, and combines these with yoga principles to connect your body and mind. This is a great way to tone up, strengthen your core muscles, and improve your balance and coordination.
**You have the option of bringing your own ball, or you may purchase a ball at the studio - Price of the ball depends on size - call us for info. If you do need a ball, let us know at least 10 days in advance. (We will have a few balls in stock, but be sure to let us know you need a ball in case we need to order your specific size.)
Private/Small Group Classes
As mentioned above for the yoga, we are also available by special arrangement for ball and fitness classes. We can design a class that will work for your small group. Contact us for more information.
